Independant Identification surging.. Republicans drowning.

You would think by the presumptuous attitude displayed by the republican medias that the republican party has been the all American party reflecting the consensus of American values. If this were so, how does one explain facts that clearly show a long decline of republican affiliation among the American people? In fact if you look further into the Pew Research Center's data all the way back to 1939 it clearly shows that the dominating party has been the democratic party (click here for cite). I personally hold no real affiliation to any one party and I guess I would fit into the surging mold of independents. So my aim is not to vindicate the democratic party but to point out that the idea of blatantly lying to people and assuming the voting public is comprised of morons is simply a horrible, miscalculated judgment of the republican party. If anything they should let go of the kindergarten politics and get really aim to solve our country's social, economical and foreign obstacles. I actually support the republican idea of small government it's just too bad they don't adhere to their own philosophies! Word of advice republicans, forget about your image and really "be" something.
